Weight of water melon
Suppose you buy a water melon of 100 pounds that are 99% water. After leaving them outside for a day, they are now 98% water.
What will be the weight of the melon now?

Initially water melons were having 99 pound water and 1 pound solid material....
now after drying it, it will be having same solid material ie 1 pound..
so total weight after drying it ...let W = 98x + 2x ......(a)
and second condition by above statement .. 2x = 1 pound....(b)
hence by putting the value of x = 1/2 in eqn (a)
W = 50 pound

100 pound total weight, hence weight of solid part of millon is 1 pound as it is 1%
after water vapourisation, solid part of millon is 2% of millon weight
since 2% weighs 1 pound
hence 100 % would weigh 50 pound (100*1/2)
hence millon is now 50 pound left...
